The Fender Mexico factory is still an arm of Fender US.  Although they have the capabilities to do almost anything, they are still limited to by what Fender US wants them to do.

Their basic philosophy is to produce the best guitars they possibly can.  The workers take pride in their work, and are treated very well by Fender.

I think we can all expect to see more great products coming out of the Fender Mexico factory in the years to come.

I would also like to thank Ray Anthony, our regular Fender rep, for guiding us to the right people to arrange the tour, and to Richard McDonald, the V.P. of Marketing for approving the tour.

Mark and his wife recently took a cruise to Mexico. This enabled them to be in the vicinity to take the Fender Mexico factory tour. Mark’s formal ship’s portrait was taken with his Mexican Standard Stratocaster (yes, guitar players are an odd bunch, aren’t we).
